The smudge room is featured prominently in the main foyer. Inspired by the iconic Teepee motif, the smudge will play an integral role in the restorative practices which are the core of Ambrose Place's community. Native Elders will regularly oversee spiritual smudge events and thus reconnect and re-instill pride in culture and self.

Died from pneumonia while living on the streets of Edmonton. Inspiration for choosing the name "Ambrose Place" for Niginan's first project.
